Practice time is not that far off. Keep posters aware of the committed players. You have alluded to the interested players but as fall  approaches, keep us posted on those who have followed up on their initial interest.

In order for any Musketeer to strap the helmet on this fall they must do 3 things: 1) sign a school liability waiver, 2) have a pre-participation physical done (and be cleared to play), and 3) send in their participation fee.

When we have those three things from a player, we will then know they are totally committed.  WE ARE WORKING ON THIS!  All players have been informed as to what they are required to do.  It is now up to them at this point.

I am continuing with organizing the schedule of games, acquire coaches, etc. and wok with fundraising in any way I can.

I sure hope so!  This fall can be a very special time for the XU Community.  Alot must happen in the next four weeks, but everything we want to do is still "on the table".  We just have to keep working!

Are there any plans to sell football merchandise?  I realize the rebirth is in it's infancy, but I'd buy sweatshirts, t-shirts, ect. I assume (as with any club at X), this is possible.  I'd love to get either a full size or replica min of a Xavier helmet for my office or den.

Sorry, I missed this post until now. Last year, the club team sold tee-shirts and I believe some sweatshirts. I'd love to have mini-helmets as the new helmets are very good looking. I bought a mini St, X helmet from Moe's mini's and it ran $29.99. It looks very nice Not sure at that price, how the team could sell mini's and make a profit but who knows who'd pay $40-50 bucks. I broached te topic of baseball caps (navy adorned with a XU helmet) with coach Powers but he has yet to say aye or nay. I think the hats would sell well but as soon as I hear anything, I will post it.

I look forward to the update. Was the clothing available in the bookstore last year or did you have to get it through one of the players?

Merchandise was sold at the Norwood game and I believe that shirts were available through players and coaches. QB Jimmy Byrnes is president of the club and I will try to ascertain where and what merchandise will be available. The shirts were sharp looking and also a great to visbly and financially support the team. I really want to push the idea of ballcaps with a football helmet on the front. Given my sparseness of hair, I need something to shield my noggin' and eyes.
