I keep fanning the embers of Xavier football. Other than Bruce, no one comments to my posts. I am heartened that there are as many views as there have been that seem to indicate an interest. Chicago St. was rumored to be interested in starting an intercollegiate football program which has moved in the direction of actually happening. I ran across articles in the Tribune and Sun-Times that a new coach has been hired for the season to start in the fall of 2026.
That isn?t far off; and according to the Tribune, not only are players yet to be recruited but the school still doesn?t have a place to play. There is no mention of plans to build an on-campus but the school is looking at local high school stadiums to play. This will be an FCS level program. Hope it succeeds.
